In 2005, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) formed an advisory group to strategically plan its prevention efforts. The group quickly became an independent coalition for information-sharing and collaboration under the auspices of NCMEC. In 2012, this advisory group became an independent coalition, thus establishing The National Coalition to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation.
The National Coalition to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation - generally known as Prevent Together - serves as an information sharing and advocacy organization. The Coalition developed a National Plan to further its education and advocacy efforts in 2012.
The Coalition provides many educational and collaborative opportunities for members.
Promotes collaboration between national youth serving organizations and researchers, resulting in new strategies and youth safety policies.
